the ultimate stay at home playlist

Updated: Aug 23, 2021

Is social distancing from COVID-19 starting to take a toll on you?

I don't know about you, but my anxiety has gotten noticeably more intense over these past few days; whether it's reading the tragic headlines from around the world of people suffering from the coronavirus or donning gloves myself before a grocery store run, I feel like we are beginning to live in a dystopia more and more as each day passes.

Even though I can wear comfy clothes and binge-watch a new show on Netflix, anxiety still manages to creep into the back of my mind. What happens if one of my family members gets the coronavirus? How long will we be social distancing for? How long will it be until I will see my boyfriend in person again? And how will this impact my post-grad job search?

So many of us have questions right now that are left to be answered. To say that this is a time of uncertainty is a complete understatement. And the more I sit inside and struggle with my own anxiety, the most claustrophobic I begin to feel in my own home. What used to be a safe space for me to relax and unwind is now becoming a place of stress and discomfort.

Due to all of the madness that has come out of this coronavirus outbreak, I decided to start a new series on this blog about COVID-19. After all, I don't think anyone is too keen to travel at the moment. So, I will be shifting gears on my blog for a bit on how you can keep calm & carry on (as best you can) as we all adjust to this new lifestyle of staying ~home~as much as possible. After all, we are all in this together!

I thought I'd start off the series by making an ultimate "stay at home" playlist to make your day a bit more cheerful and relaxing. Maybe you can listen to this playlist while making your morning coffee, taking a break from work or settling into a nice bubble bath. In other words, turn on this playlist whenever you need some self-care!

Look out for more posts on the blog in the near future. If there's anything in particular you want me to cover, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Stay safe & healthy,

Caroline
